Portland is the Place to Be!

Registration is now open for the 2015 AHTA Annual Conference, October 9-10, 2015 in Portland, Oregon!
Join us for "Research: Shaping the Horticultural Therapy Landscape." In a world where new challenges to health and well-being seem  to appear at a record pace, the HT profession must be malleable and flexbile in order to meet those demands.   AHTA brings together professionals from all over the world to inform and educate our attendees, as well as to collaborate and partner with our allied health counterparts.
Keynote Speaker: Roger Ulrich, PhD
Dr. Ulrich is recognized as the founder of evidence-based healthcare design and has become its most cited researcher internationally.  His keynote will focus on the evidence base to support nature and gardens in healthcare settings.  Health professionals, design practioners, planners, and policy makers will find engaging, relevant and the most up-to-date research findings to promote their initiatives and programs around nature and health for well-being.
Thursday, October 8: AHTA Annual Conference Pretours & Internship Supervisor Workshop
Thursday, October 8 will kick-off our conference with the much anticipated pre-tours!  The Portland Conference Committee has scheduled 5 locations to be visited, all featuring HTR's running the programs at the facilities.   See the details below, but remember that pre-tours fill up quickly due to the limited number of visitors the sites can handle individually.
This year we will again offer the AHTA Internship Supervisor Workshop, facilitated by Leigh Anne Starling, MS, CRC, HTR.  This workshop is for those who are professionally registered and are first time supervisors or those who wish to enhance their role as an internship supervisor.
